Shower Gels and Shampoos is one of the newer workshops offered by Scents of Tobago. In the past, we offered a liquid soap workshop with a steep learning curve- that is a three to four hour cook which did not always yield transparent, beautiful gels.
Now we offer a simplified shower gel and shampoo creation workshop in which we'll mix a nice large batch of each in under two hours.
This special workshop has not been offered before in this format with updated information.
Learn to create your own Shower gel and Shampoo Collections. Add to your existing line up.
We will spend some time dealing with key concepts such as:
- Ingredients needed for non irritant shampoos- in other words no sulfates in sight,
- How to achieve nice, velvety foam
- The selection of key ingredients such as humectants and moisturisers in shower gels.
- The selection of key ingredients to build body and build back the hair shaft in shampoos.
- How to achieve a gel consistency
- How to measure and adjust the PH of the product so it is healthy, safe, therefore suitable for use.
- How to add irresistible fragrance or essential oils to the batches
- How to colour batches
As a bonus- An introduction to Conditioners will also be done in this workshop.
