The essential oil of peppermint is one of the most useful and home friendly essential oils. It really makes spaces feel clean and airy. The essential oil of peppermint can be diffused into a room if you want to feel energised with focus and clarity.
Personally, I have found this essential oil to be particularly useful during perimenopause on those days when energy levels are very low and there is brain fog.

In this project, we are harnessing the power of both peppermint and spearmint to control the oil on the face. We are creating a facial soap bar with oils that are less likely to clog the pores.
Sunflower Oil and Jojoba Oil

Sunflower oil- A high in Vitamin E oil, so it slows down oxidation, sunflower oil is perfect for a bar made for the face.
Jojoba Oil- a little pricier than sunflower oil, it is useful because it is similar to the skin's natural sebum. It offers deep hydration without clogging the pores.
Coconut oil for durability of the Bar
Organic Coconut oil- I chose this one because it offers the characteristic of hardness and durability. Coconut oil in the soap yield a nice, fluffy lather which we all love. It is used in small proportion here as it can clog the pores in high proportions.
Sodium Lactate?
In this recipe, sodium lactate is being used as a hardener. While the soap will harden up in the curing time, the sodium lactate assists with the easy removal from the mold as this soap may start off as a soft one.
Added Interest of Fresh Mint Leaves
If you like, you can add fresh or dried mint leaves in the bar for some visual interest.
